Zero-Tolerance Drug & Alcohol Policy

At Smart Buddy, public safety is our top priority. In strict compliance with the City of Dallas Transportation-for-Hire Ordinance (SEC. 47A-2.1.6), we maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of drugs, alcohol, or any intoxicating substances by our chauffeurs.

 

Prohibited Conduct

• No Intoxicants: Chauffeurs are strictly prohibited from consuming, possessing, distributing, or being under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any intoxicating substances while on duty or operating a company vehicle.

• Pre-Duty Restrictions: Chauffeurs must not consume alcohol for at least 8 hours prior to a scheduled shift.

• Medication Safety: Chauffeurs must immediately report the use of any prescription or over-the-counter medications that could impair their driving ability.

• Enforcement: Any driver found in violation of this policy is subject to immediate suspension, comprehensive investigation, and permanent termination.

 

Passenger Action & How to Report a Violation

If you are a passenger and suspect your driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, please take the following steps:

1. End the Trip: Request that the driver pull over safely and terminate the trip immediately.

2. Report to Smart Buddy: Contact our management line immediately at 469-235-1437or email us at  yeshaneh@yahoo.co.nz  so we can pull the driver from service.

3. Report to the City of Dallas: You may file an official public safety complaint directly with the City of Dallas by calling 3-1-1 (within city limits) or by visiting the Dallas City Hall Code Compliance platform.
